Due to years of restricted access to cannabis, the interaction of the plant with various kinds of pharmaceutical drugs is not something that has been properly studied yet.
So when asked about whether CBD can interfere with different medications, there is unfortunately not enough research available for us to provide our customers with a conclusive answer.
We have been advised that at the South African government’s extremely low recommended dosage of 20mg a day, CBD is very unlikely to interfere with other medicines.
However, this could very much depend on a person’s individual biochemistry, and of course the specific kind of medication they are taking.
It is for this reason that we always recommend that users of chronic medication consult their trusted medical professional for advice on integrating CBD into a treatment plan, based on their unique personal needs.
